PRINCE2® (Projects in Controlled Environments) 7th edition, is an evolution of the globally recognised project management process model for managing a project. It is an adaptable and flexible method that can be tailored to any kind of project in any sector or industry and includes the activities needed to direct, manage and deliver a project.
The Foundation certification provides an introduction to project management concepts and an understanding of the method, principles, roles, practices and terminology of PRINCE2®.
What is the difference between PRINCE2® 6th edition and 7th edition?
The new 7th edition remains aligned to the 6th edition but has introduced new concepts such as:
- Focus on people management and leading successful teams
- Utilisation of data and digital management tools in projects
- Integrated compatibility with agile, ITIL and lean concepts
- Sustainability and alignment to UN sustainable development goals
- Updated terminology and the key concepts used in PRINCE2® project management.

This knowledge-based qualification will cover the content of the latest version (the 7th edition) of the PRINCE2® method –including its principles, practices and processes.
Delegates will be able to make a more confident and effective contribution to projects, both as a member of the team, or as someone who needs to interact with a PRINCE2® project team.
The exam format is a 60 minute multiple-choice paper comprised of 60 questions with a pass mark of 60%. Successful completion of the PRINCE2® 7Foundation exam will mean you will be awarded the PRINCE2® 7 Foundation qualification.
